“ My lived experience inspired me to pursue this field,” Caleb shares. “I wanted to help create a world where everyone feels supported, no matter what challenges they face.”

Through his placement, he developed essential skills like communication, empathy, and boundary-setting while working under the guidance of experienced mentors. “The Senior Support Officer was always there to guide me. Having that kind of support made all the difference,” he shares.

During the placement, even small actions felt impactful.

“Helping a client establish a daily routine might seem minor, but it improved their sense of control and well-being. That moment reinforced why I chose this career,”

“I’ve learned to balance my emotions while staying focused on my clients’ needs,” they reflect. It’s not always easy, but it’s incredibly fulfilling to see the difference I can make. see myself continuing in this field, possibly pursuing further studies or leadership roles to expand my impact.
